Big Sur Road Trip: Hearst Castle

There are not much words can describe how beautiful the Hearst Castle is, so I will mainly post up photos in this post here.
Hearst Castle, it is one of California’s top vacation attractions, located on Highway one along the majestic Central Coast of California, San Simeon.

This wonderful art piece was designed by architect Julia Morgan between 1919 and 1947 for newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst...Read more here.

Hearst was a “ceiling collector” and would buy centuries-old ceilings that dictated the size of the rooms. The ceiling collection displayed in the castle are really amazing!

I love the lamps collection in the castle too

the massive indoor Roman Pool!
The 10-feet-deep indoor Roman Pool is tiled from top to bottom, total 1,665 square feet. This was the most impressive swimming pool I have ever seen !

A close up of a portion of the tile floor.

Finally this is the man behind this wonderful art piece-Hearst Castle!
