Kampong Lorong Buangkok

Built in 1956, it was the last surviving kampong (village) located at Kampong Lorong Buangkok in between Hougang and Sengang area.

As this is a private land, soon we got to say goodbye to this old charm village as it is in the name of progress and development of Singapore city plan.

Wooden zinc houses is a rare in Singapore given to the scarcity of land.

Up to date, less than 30 families live in this village houses which made of wood with zinc roofs, modern facilities such as toilet, electricity and water pipe has been installed in the late 1960s.
Dirt gravel roads, old trees, and some places are quite dirty too, it is not far from hustle and bustle of city, but the life here is such a different. Residents only need to pay their landlord merely less than $30 per month.
